Why fans think Taylor Swift is releasing a new album — and it’s not ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’
|Swift fans believe that Taylor Swift has been releasing Easter eggs for some time and that a new album is imminent.
Reddit sleuths predict that the singer-songwriter’s next project will be the publication of her 12th studio album, not “Reputation (Taylor’s Version),” as has been suggested.
While still on the Eras Tour, 34-year-old Swift surprised fans in April by dropping her eleventh album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” while traveling.
The Grammy winner’s supporters believe a new batch of songs may be released prior to or concurrently with the tour’s completion, which is scheduled to finish up in December.
Given that each of Swift’s previous albums has been associated with a different color, one idea on X is that the color orange will be the theme of her upcoming album.
Not only has she never used it on an album before, but she also uses the hue in her live performances right now.
Swift has donned orange clothing, posed in front of orange backgrounds, thrown orange confetti, and in the show’s climax, there was an orange door that seemed to be telling.
During a certain moment, the backup dancers for the singer don jackets matching the colors of her past releases, with one dancer donning an orange jacket.
Furthermore, her dancers fan her with enormous orange feathers during one of the tour rehearsals shown in the music video for her song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”; the orange feathers are still visible during the live performances.
Another argument suggests that because lilac has also been in the news a lot lately, it could go well with orange in some way.
Swift used a lot of lavender outfits on the tour and in the practice video for the song “Broken Heart.” She also used a lot of lavender in an Instagram post about her London shows.
A different theory focuses on the updated Eras Tour poster.
When the initial concert dates were announced in November 2022, the original poster was shown. It featured a grid with the artwork from each of her ten albums displayed in each square.
Three of the middle squares were occupied by the newest record at the moment, “Midnights.”
