Legendary actor James Earl Jones has passed away at the age of 93, and the sad news has been confirmed by his media agents.

He will be remembered for numerous roles, most notably for providing the voice of the greatest cinematic villain, Darth Vader.

Jones also lent his voice to Mufasa in the animated classic “The Lion King” from 1994 and the 2019 remake.

Deeply respected among the world’s greatest actors both on stage and screen, James Earl Jones is one of the few entertainers to achieve the prestigious EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). He received two Emmy Awards, a Daytime Emmy, a Grammy Award in 1977, and three Tony Awards, along with an Honorary Academy Award.

His career began with a role in Stanley Kubrick’s classic “Dr. Strangelove” (1964), and he went on to appear in some of the most successful films of all time.

Born on January 17, 1931, James Earl Jones distinguished himself with numerous contributions to the big screen in films such as “Conan the Barbarian” (1982), “Coming to America” (1988), “The Hunt for Red October” (1990), “The Sandlot” (1990), and “Patriot Games” (1992). He also made three appearances on “The Simpsons.”
