Kevin Costner’s Heartwarming Comeback: Love After Divorce at 67
|Months following a challenging separation from his long-time wife, Christine Baumgartner, it appears Kevin Costner might be venturing into a new romance.
Reports suggest that the Yellowstone star is now in a relationship with singer Jewel. The two were recently seen together on Richard Branson’s Necker Island, participating in a tennis fundraiser for the Inspiring Children Foundation.
According to TMZ, the duo traveled to the Caribbean together, spending more than a week in each other’s company. This comes on the heels of the drama Costner faced during a post-separation court battle with Baumgartner.
In May of the same year, Costner was reportedly blindsided by his wife’s decision to initiate divorce proceedings. The saga continued with Christine filing for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 18 years of marriage.
A representative for Costner issued a statement expressing sadness over the circumstances and requested privacy for Kevin, Christine, and their three children as they navigate this challenging time.
Costner and Baumgartner tied the knot in 2004 and share three children: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
Following Baumgartner’s filing, a contentious legal battle ensued, leading to her vacating the family home, as per a prenuptial agreement, and Costner being ordered to pay $63,209 per month in child support.
Despite the tumultuous journey marked by heartbreak and stress, it seems there might be a silver lining for Costner. According to TMZ, he has entered into a romantic relationship with US singer Jewel.
Witnesses observed their flirtatious behavior during their Caribbean trip, with sources noting that they both seemed to light up when together.
Jewel also mentioned Costner on social media, expressing gratitude for his mentorship during the tennis fundraiser on Necker Island. TMZ reports that the two flew back together, with a source mentioning that Jewel is discerning in her choices and sees Kevin as fitting the bill for a good man.
