On October 15, country superstar Keith Urban was forced to cancel his concert in Greenville, South Carolina, after being diagnosed with laryngitis. The Bon Secours Wellness Arena shared the announcement online, explaining that Urban’s longtime doctor, Dr. Gaelyn Garrett from the Vanderbilt Voice Center, placed him on full vocal rest.

Urban personally apologized to fans, saying:

“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show. I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”

Thankfully, Dr. Garrett’s optimism proved right — Urban was well enough to return to the stage the very next night for his Nashville show at Bridgestone Arena on October 17.

The Viral “Collapse” Moment in Nashville

During the Nashville concert, one fan caught Urban’s attention with a sign that read:
“Will you tell my fam I’m pregnant?”

Curious, Keith approached her and asked her name. The fan smiled and said, “You’re not going to like my name.”

Urban laughed and asked again — and she replied, “Nicholle.”

Upon hearing her name, Keith jokingly “collapsed” on stage, dramatically falling to his knees as the crowd erupted in laughter — clearly playing off the coincidence with his ex-wife’s name, Nicole (Kidman).

Raising his hand in mock disbelief, Urban then laughed it off, got up, and continued chatting with the fan. She explained that she had pit tickets for the cancelled Greenville show, but instead drove to Nashville to see him perform.

Moved by her determination, Keith got off the stage, hugged her, and even filmed a video message for her family to announce her pregnancy. She proudly showed him a tiny onesie reading, “Smallest Keith Urban fan.”
