Khloe Grace Brings American Idol Judges to Tears With Heart-Wrenching Tribute to Late 13-Year-Old Aubreigh Wyatt

Khloe Grace’s American Idol audition became one of the most emotional moments of the season, reminding viewers that music can heal, comfort, and save lives.

The 15-year-old singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida, stunned the American Idol judges with an original song titled “13 Forever,” written in memory of Aubreigh Paige Wyatt, a 13-year-old girl who tragically died by suicide in 2023.

Before Khloe even began to sing, the room fell silent when Aubreigh’s mother, Heather Wyatt, stepped forward to introduce her.

“I am not a contestant,” Heather said. “I’m here to introduce Khloe Grace. About a year ago, she wrote and performed a song in honor of my daughter, Aubreigh, that we lost to suicide in 2023.”

Lionel Richie immediately responded, visibly shaken. “So sorry for your loss. That is just unimaginable.”

Khloe explained that she had never met Aubreigh or her family before writing the song. Still, something compelled her to tell the story.

“Something kept telling me to write that song, so I did,” she shared. “I went through some of the things Aubreigh went through. If I could write something that could even slightly help someone, then it’s totally worth it.”

Heather first discovered “13 Forever” on TikTok. “I immediately cried,” she said. “It reflected what Aubreigh had gone through. She endured years of bullying and social media pressure.”

When Heather surprised Khloe in the audition room, the teen broke down in tears. “This means the world to me,” Khloe said softly.

With her acoustic guitar in hand, Khloe performed “13 Forever” as Heather stood beside her, crying. The lyrics told Aubreigh’s story with heartbreaking honesty—dreams cut short, pain caused by words, and the quiet hope that her name would never be forgotten.

Every judge—Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan—was in tears.

“That’s a gift right there,” Richie told Heather. “That’s God looking back at you.”
