Angelina Jolie wants to ‘end the fighting,’ and ask Brad to drop the lawsuit

For some time now, Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt have been involved in a legal dispute. It appears like the actress is done with this and wants to move on from it all.

While the legal dispute between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over their French vineyard continues, Jolie’s attorneys are now requesting to “end the fighting” and have their lawsuit withdrawn. The pair has been embroiled in a protracted court dispute regarding Château Miraval. When Jolie chose to sell her portion in 2021, they were 50/50 partners, having purchased the property and winemaking endeavors in 2008.

Pitt filed a lawsuit against her for the sale, claiming that it violated their prior understanding that he would buy out all of her interests. This is how the legal drama began.

Jolie’s legal team filed a move in April 2024, claiming that Pitt had declined to purchase Jolie’s vineyard interests unless she signed a more comprehensive non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and that Pitt was using the NDA as a means to “cover up” his abuse of both her and their children. Pitt’s attorneys vigorously refuted the claims, nevertheless.

Pitt has “tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse,” according to a statement issued by Jolie’s attorney this week.

“Those actions are central to these proceedings,” they declared. We are not shocked in the slightest that Mr. Pitt is reluctant to provide the records attesting to these facts. Angelina is forced to gather the proof required to refute Mr. Pitt’s accusations unless he withdraws his lawsuit, despite her repeated requests for him to put their family on a clear road toward reconciliation and a stop to their feuding.

After two years of marriage, in September 2016, Jolie filed for divorce. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne are their six shared children.

Jolie’s attorneys filed a motion in April of this year, requesting that the court order Pitt and his attorneys to provide a response and supporting documentation outlining the reasons behind the actor’s demand that Jolie sign a broader non-disclosure agreement before the sale of Miraval could proceed. Suddenly required Jolie to sign a significantly enlarged non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that now covers Pitt’s personal transgressions, whether or not they are connected to Miraval, they claimed.

“Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles,” according to the motion filed by Jolie’s legal team. “This flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well,” the records stated.

and hence, “Jolie then left him right away.”

The filings said, “The conduct is egregious and caused significant and ongoing post-traumatic stress.” “Jolie will demonstrate in court by testimony, emails, pictures, and other materials why Pitt broke up his own contract to buy Jolie’s stake in Miraval because she wouldn’t sign his new, sweeping NDA. Pitt was so worried about his own wrongdoing. Pitt currently has some control over some of that evidence. With this motion, Jolie is requesting these proof.

But in 2023, Pitt teams claimed that Jolie and her group had asked for the “broader” NDA, not him.

According to the records, Jolie never filed charges against Pitt because she thought it would be preferable for him to take responsibility and assist the family in healing from the post-traumatic stress he inflicted.
