Demi Moore dons jaw-dropping dress to Met Gala – made from wallpaper and took 11,000 hours to embroider

As anticipated, yesterday’s 2024 Met Gala had a plethora of bizarre and amazing ensembles, but actress Demi Moore may legitimately claim to have worn the most striking.

For her first appearance at the Met Gala in five years, the 61-year-old walked the red carpet in a gown that was purportedly fashioned of—wait for it—wallpaper!

Moore said that the dress was “not heavy at all” and that it really made her “want to rumba” after drawing the attention of photographers and viewers from all around the world.

As previously said, Harris Reed created the exquisite gown out of wallpaper. According to Reed, the endeavor required an incredible 11,000 hours of silk embroidery.

At the occasion, the designer commented, “It all started with this incredible Cartier necklace that Demi is wearing.”

“It was motivated by the flowery feeling I experienced.” The entire composition is composed of antique archival wallpaper. We used it for something else. We’ve transformed 11,000 hours of silk embroidery into this vision of her blossoming on the rug. I desired to be the thorns’ vines.

Moore was last seen at the Met Gala in 2019, before to the outbreak of COVID-19. She chose an all-black Saint Laurent gown with a plunging neckline for that event.
