Lizzo clarified her fitness goals, saying, “I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may surprise some of you that I’m not working out to achieve your ideal body type. I’m working out to achieve my ideal body type.”

By February 2021, Lizzo reflected on the gradual nature of her progress, mentioning that while others commented on her weight loss, she hadn’t noticed a significant change herself. “Anyone on a natural weight loss journey knows that losing weight is the slowest thing in the world, and you don’t really notice it until you notice it,” she said.
