Heartbreaking Moment: Grandpa’s Tears Stir Emotions in Restaurant

No words can ever describe the importance of grandparents in the life of their grandchildren.

The reasons why these people are “the best kind of grownups” are endless. They are a bit parents, a bit teachers, and a bit friends, and those who got to grow up by their side are the luckiest among us.

A woman named Erica Lusher and her son had been separated from her parents for a while due to COVID-19 restrictions. Feeling sad that her son and her parents hadn’t seen each other in a long time, she decided to surprise her parents with a visit, despite the 800-mile journey it entailed.

One day, while Erica’s mom and dad were having lunch at a local Florida restaurant, she and her son walked into the establishment. The reaction of the boy’s grandparents was truly heart-melting.

The first person to notice their presence was the grandmother, who was completely shocked.

When the grandpa saw his grandson, his eyes filled with tears of joy. He embraced the boy with arms wide open and whispered “Buddy” as he tried to understand what was going on.
