Judge Mathis’ wife Linda files for divorce after nearly 40 years of marriage

Judge Mathis’s wife, Linda Yvette Mathis, has filed for divorce following 39 years of matrimony.

Today was able to get court records that Linda filed on August 22, stating that their date of separation was July 17 and giving as her justification irreconcilable differences.

Along with asking that her obligation to provide spousal support be waived, she also requested spousal support.

Before becoming engaged, the couple dated for four years after meeting while still a college student at Eastern Michigan University. After being married in June 1985, the ex-couple had four kids: Jade, 39; Greg Jr., 35; Camara, 36; and Amir, 34.

The TV judge has shown gratitude to his family and ex-wife in recent years for all of their efforts that helped him succeed.

“Having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is undoubtedly my greatest career accomplishment. However, I must admit that my family was the real cornerstone of my career, he stated at his 2022 Hollywood Walk of Fame induction. “After I got off the streets of Detroit, Linda let me work five or six days a week for fifteen hours a day. Therefore, I was able to pursue the achievement you see because of that backing.

“Our support and affection are profound. The Mathis family operates in this manner, Linda continued.
