Keanu Reeves Proved He Is Not Father of 4 Kids with DNA Test – Their Mother Still Doubted Its Result

A lady sought $3 million a month in spousal support from star Keanu Reeves, claiming to be the father of her four adult children. Reeves asserted, however, that he had never even met the woman.

In the entertainment business, a well-known celebrity must deal with a wide range of admirers, even crazy ones. Keanu Reeves was taken aback to find himself embroiled in a legal dispute with a fan, despite the fact that other celebrities are used to situations like this.

One day, Reeves was shocked to learn that Karen Sala, an unknown lady, claimed that he was the father of her four adult children. The “John Wick” actor appeared in court to face trial when the accusation became more serious.

SALA MAKES HER ACCUSATIONS

Then 21, 22, 23, and 25, Sala asserted in 2020 that Reeves was the biological father of her children. She requested $150,000 per month in child support since 1988 as well as an astounding $3 million in spousal support, retroactive to 2006. Says she:

“I do know for a fact that he is the biological father.”

The woman, who had previously been married, claimed that she and Reeves maintained a close relationship even after their marriage ended. She said that he had seen the birth of some of her children and that they had lived together for a while.

Sala claimed to have evidence of their relationship, but he wouldn’t provide it to the judge. Moreover, she asserted that they were raised in the same town, Barrie, whereas Reeves really resided in Toronto, 100 kilometers away, before to his 1986 departure for Hollywood.

Sala said that she did not re-connect with the “Matrix” star until years after first meeting her when she was four or five years old. He went by numerous names, she said. She continued, saying:

“I didn’t know he was Keanu Reeves. To me, he was Marty Spenser.”

REEVES REACTS TO THE ALLEGATIONS

The wildest thing a fan did to Reeves, however, according to him, was to “accuse me of being a father.” “I had to go to court,” he continued. It was awful. It was not me. I’m not the father. Reeves says he’s never seen the woman before.

He was also diagnosed with dyslexia and struggled to learn, and at the age of 17, he dropped out of high school.

Sala’s agent also called the claims “completely false and absurd,” particularly the part where she said the “Speed” actor had tricked Sala into thinking she was his ex-husband by using hypnosis.

THE CASE ENDS IN REEVES’ FAVOR

Reeves’ attorney, Lorne Wolfson, stated during their divorce that she thinks Sala’s former husband is the biological father of her four children. In order to support her claims, Sala’s children had to go through a paternity test. She would not, however, test her ex-husband’s DNA or display the birth certificates for her children. Wolfson stated:

“Her evidence is, at best, incredible. There is clearly no triable issue.”

The woman’s children did not have Reeves as their father, according to the results of the DNA test. She did, however, question and bring up issues with the findings, including potential evidence tampering or Reeves’s repeated use of hypnosis to sway the decision in his favor.

The lawsuit was later rejected by an Ontario court who declared that a trial would be “a waste of limited judicial resources.” Additionally, Judge Fred Graham informed the court that the woman’s claims would not be accepted by any reasonable judge.

Reeves will always remember that event, and even though he did not father Sala’s children, it does not imply he never had children of his own.

The actor from “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and actress Jennifer Syme used to be parents. They met during a concert in support of the band “Dogstar.” They immediately fell in love and began a life together. But just as terrible as their daughter’s passing was their relationship’s demise.

REEVES’ ONLY DAUGHTER

In 1999, Reeves and Syme fell in love, and shortly after, the good news of the actress’s pregnancy was shared. Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived when their unborn daughter, Ava Archer Symes-Reeves, passed away unexpectedly several months into the pregnancy.

The infant was born on Christmas Eve, and the couple struggled to deal with the loss. In particular, Syme struggled with postpartum depression until their differences led to their breakup. Although it was thought that Syme and Reeves were trying to mend their differences, another tragedy occurred in 2001.

The actress, 28, was attending a party at Marilyn Mason’s house when she was involved in an accident. Devastated, Reeves accompanied other pallbearers in carrying his lover’s casket to be buried next to their daughter during the funeral.

Reeves stated in an earlier interview, as reported by Mirror, that “grief changes shape, but it never ends.” He continued by saying that losing a loved one leaves one feeling alone. He admits that occasionally he imagines what might have happened if they had remained in their lives.

Unfortunately, the actor’s life was not without more tragic incidents in addition to the deaths of Ava and Syme. Reeves saw his father abandon his mother when he was three years old and take care of his family by himself. He and his family were forced to relocate multiple times as a result, and they lived in Hawaii, New York, Australia, and Canada.

He also had dyslexia, which made learning difficult for him. At the age of 17, he left high school.Still, his mother was his greatest source of support. After getting his big break in the movie “Bill and Ted,” things took a turn for the better, and he has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
