Meg Ryan enjoys shopping date with daughter Daisy, 20, in rare public sighting
|On Wednesday, Meg Ryan and her 20-year-old daughter Daisy were seen having fun on a shopping date in New York City.
Before heading to Tribeca to shop for clothes, the “You’ve Got Mail” actress and her daughter were spotted perusing books at the McNally Jackson Bookstore in Soho.
Wearing casual clothing, the couple strolled through the city looking happy.
Ryan, 62, looked put together in a black cargo pant set and a simple white long sleeve shirt. She accessorized her casual ensemble with a crossbody bag and black sneakers.
Daisy, on the other hand, wore blue jeans with a black belt tucked into a button-up shirt with a butterfly motif. She layered on some bracelets and added white boots.
When Daisy was around two years old in 2006, Ryan adopted her from China.
Because of our bond, I really believe in magic. About her relationship with Daisy, the actress gushed to Glamour in December 2023, saying, “We were destined.”
The actress from “When Harry Met Sally” and her ex-husband, actor Dennis Quaid, have a 32-year-old son named Jack.
She was married to Quaid, 70, for ten years until their divorce in 2001.
My children have always been a lot of fun. “They’re the best hang,” she declared in a Glamour interview. “Their curiosity and interest in the world are so alive.”
Ryan, who spoke to People in October 2023 and referred to Daisy and Jack as “two of the greatest kids,” is obviously a proud mother.
Jack has continued his parent’s career as an actor, making appearances in the films “The Hunger Games” (2012) and “Oppenheimer” (2023). He also plays vigilante Hughie Campbell in the Prime Video series “The Boys.”
Daisy’s aspirations to pursue acting are unclear. She is an undergraduate student at the moment.
The mother-daughter outing occurs after Ryan made an uncommon appearance on the red carpet at the European Sarajevo Film Festival the previous week.
She received the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award in recognition of her services to the motion picture industry.
