Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker were married for 18 years before their separation. Their divorce turned out to be one of Hollywood’s most expensive, with Michael being ordered to pay Diandra $45 million.

Known for his roles in iconic films such as “Fatal Attraction” and “Wall Street,” Michael Douglas, now 79, is one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors. He has won two Oscars: one for producing “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and another for his performance in “Wall Street.”

Currently, Douglas is married to fellow Oscar-winner Catherine Zeta-Jones, 59. The couple has two children, Dylan, 23, and Carys, 21.

Before his marriage to Zeta-Jones, Douglas was married to Diandra Luker. This previous marriage proved to be financially significant.

Michael Douglas was enjoying great success with “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” when he married Diandra Luker, now 68, in 1977. They welcomed their son Cameron Douglas a year later.

When they divorced in 2000, Michael was required to pay Diandra $45 million. Additionally, she received their shared residence in Santa Barbara, California. However, Diandra wasn’t satisfied and returned to court in 2011 to demand more money.

Diandra argued that she had supported Michael during the making of “Wall Street” and thus claimed she was entitled to half of the earnings from its sequel. This legal battle took place just two months after Michael was diagnosed with cancer, leading to public criticism of Diandra for allegedly demanding money from a sick man.

In response to the backlash, Diandra clarified her position. “Michael didn’t know he was ill, I didn’t know he was ill, and the gods didn’t know he was ill,” she stated. “I am not into going after sick people for things that don’t belong to me.”

Diandra lost the case and received no additional money from her ex-husband.

Despite this, Diandra has led a comfortable life. She lived in luxury in Mallorca until 2019.

“S’Estaca,” the villa she previously shared with Michael Douglas, is perched on the cliffs of Sa Foradada with stunning sea views. The property boasts 10 bedrooms, a loft, two cottages, terraces, a pool, a wine cellar, and private sea access, spread over a large 100-hectare plot.

In 2019, Douglas bought out Diandra’s share of the villa. Since then, she appears to have relocated to Ibiza, frequently sharing photos from there on social media.

In Ibiza, she lives with her twins, Hudson and Hawk, 20, who were born via surrogate with ex Zach Hampton Bacon III, and her daughter Imara de Morrell Douglas, whom she adopted from Russia in 2005.

In 2022, Diandra sold a New York apartment for an impressive $17 million, according to the New York Post.
