Nicole Kidman, 56, called ‘desperate’ for revealing clothing choices

Celebrities are unfortunately not exempt from receiving hateful comments and online trolling, and Nicole Kidman has shown she’s no exception.

Over the past few years, the 56-year-old actress has faced a lot of criticism for her fashion choices, particularly from those who think she’s dressing younger than her age.

Despite this, the Moulin Rouge star has had the perfect comeback… Read on to discover her response!

At the recent New York premiere of her latest mini-TV series, Expats, Nicole Kidman made a stunning entrance.

She wore a timeless black satin gown by Atelier Versace, featuring a backless and sideless design, which she paired with sleek black stilettos, diamond earrings, and bracelets.

The gown, with its mint green lining and thigh-high slit, drew mixed reactions online. While many praised her striking appearance, others questioned her fashion choice.

One person commented, “Elegant and classy… that’s an attractive combination. This dress screams desperation.”

Another added, “It’s not really elegant or classy to look so desperate to look young. Grow old gracefully. She needs to stop trying so hard…”

In the face of this criticism, Kidman remains unfazed.

Addressing the backlash over her fashion choices, including a micro skirt worn for a Vanity Fair cover, she previously said, “It was fun. I own it. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it.”

Kidman’s perfect response to the criticism proves she doesn’t let negativity get to her.

Speaking to People, she said, “Don’t tell me, I don’t really want to know. It will stop me doing what I want to do. I really try to stay free in my choices because otherwise, before you know it, you’re just closed off and you can’t step anywhere.”

She continued, “I want for myself just to keep going, ‘Oh, well, I’m trying something or I wanted to do it. It was fun. That was my choice. And yeah, I own it. I’m accountable. Whatever. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it.’”
