Olivia Munn Says She ‘Didn’t Have the Energy’ to Make John Mulaney’s Birthday Cake This Year

This year, John Mulaney did not receive a baked birthday cake, but Olivia Munn, his wife, thought it might be for the best.

Munn, 44, posted a picture of the cakes she sent her husband on his 42nd birthday on Monday, August 26. She didn’t prepare this dessert personally, though, unlike the 2023 confection she presented the comic.

One cake featured what looked to be chocolate frosting and the phrases “Happy Birthday,” while another cake had white frosting with the words “John John!” inscribed on it. Both cakes were featured in an Instagram Story post by the actress. There were four red candles on top of each dessert.

Munn commented above the photo, “I went to the grocery store because I didn’t have the energy to make a (bad) birthday cake this year.”
