One Direction Member Liam Payne Dies at 31 in Argentina: Details

Everyone is shocked by the untimely death of the former member of One Direction in Argentina.

On Wednesday, October 16, Liam Payne, 31, passed away after falling from the third storey of his Buenos Aires hotel. The first information of the official investigation into the circumstances of the tragic occurrence that took place at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel have surfaced since his untimely demise.

According to officials, Payne was residing at the four-star hotel in the Latin American nation when the deadly accident occurred. Alberto Crescenti, the director of Buenos Aires Emergency Medical Services, told ABC News that emergency personnel were called to the hotel to attend to a guy who was acting strangely, probably under the influence of alcohol.

Payne was discovered in the hotel’s inner courtyard, where he was declared dead at the scene, Crescenti continued. The musician fell from a height of 13 to 14 meters (42 to 45 feet), he added, explaining to the local media site TN. He called his injuries “very serious” and “incompatible with life.”

Additionally, witnesses allegedly informed TMZ that earlier in the day, Payne was behaving strangely in the hotel lobby. Prior to the incident, he was accused of damaging his laptop and needing help getting back to his room.

Just after 5 p.m., a number of hotel visitors attested to the singer’s fall from the third-floor balcony, however it’s still unclear if this was an accident or deliberate.

As they started their inquiry, authorities swiftly arrived at the spot and erected a red tent over it. Just a few minutes after the emergency call, Crescenti reported that emergency personnel arrived at 5:11 p.m. Payne’s identification was only verified after he was declared dead, so sadly, there was no chance of saving him.

Earlier in the month, Payne traveled to Argentina to attend a concert with Niall Horan, a former member of One Direction. A prominent member of the internationally popular boy band, the 31-year-old singer joined the group at the age of 16 when they were introduced on “The X Factor.” They became quite well-known throughout the world before breaking up in 2015.

Bear, Payne’s son with singer Cheryl Cole, is his surviving child. Bear was born in 2017 after the couple announced in November 2016 that they were expecting their first child.

Payne talked about the pleasures and difficulties of parenting in an interview from 2018. “I always wanted to be a young dad, but I didn’t really expect that I’d ever be in this place,” he stated to People.

As he juggled his music career and parenthood, the singer also jokingly called himself “Dada Montana.” We send our condolences to his family and all of his devoted admirers.
