Shania Twain Celebrates 60th Birthday With Rare Throwback Photo and a Heartfelt Message

Global country music superstar Shania Twain marked a major milestone on August 28, 2025, celebrating her 60th birthday with fans around the world. To commemorate the day, the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” singer shared a rare throwback photo from the 1980s, long before her rise to international fame.

Shania’s Heartfelt Birthday Reflection

In her Instagram caption, Twain looked back at her humble beginnings and expressed gratitude for her life and career.

“Happy birthday to me! How can I be 60? So glad to have kept some photos from this time in the 80s when I had no idea what was ahead of me and Shania f—ing Twain didn’t exist yet.”

For those unfamiliar, Shania Twain was born Eileen Regina Edwards, only later adopting the stage name that would become synonymous with some of country music’s most iconic songs.

She continued her post with a heartfelt message to fans, family, and friends:

“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for the life that I have. For my family, friends, fans and the inspiration I get from all of you. I’ve tried to stay true to myself along the way and that’s my intention moving forward into the next chapter.”

Giving Back During Her Tour

Just before her milestone birthday, Twain wrapped up her Live in Concert summer tour, which took her across the United States and Canada. But she made sure her shows had an impact beyond music.

Through the Shania Twain Foundation, she promised to donate to a food bank in every city she performed. Keeping her word, Twain contributed $25,000 per city, with donations totaling one million meals nationwide.

She shared the news on social media, highlighting her mission to fight food insecurity and support families in need.
