Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva shuts down critics of her wedding dress cleavage

Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, remains unfazed by the criticism surrounding her wedding gown.

The actress and lifestyle blogger shared photos and videos from her June 29 wedding to chef Ian Hock on social media. While many people praised her look, Amurri received significant criticism that she couldn’t ignore.

The 39-year-old posted a picture of herself in a strapless bustier-style wedding gown by Kim Kassas, while her new husband wore a custom-tailored navy blue suit.

Despite the negative comments, Amurri defended her choice. She mentioned on her Instagram Story that, although it rained on their big day, “it was really the most special day filled with so much love and incredible energy.”

In one image with Hock, she addressed those criticizing her for showing cleavage, zooming in on her chest and inviting them to “screenshot this for later.” She continued to share joyful moments from the wedding.

Explaining her gown choice to People, Amurri said, “I love how it has a vintage feel and is ultra feminine without being overly pouffy. I wanted to feel sexy but elegant, and I think the dress strikes the perfect balance.”

However, the comment section wasn’t as kind, with remarks like:

  • “What in the name of Holy Matrimonial Tatas is going on?”
  • “The dress is horrid.”
  • “Ummm… ma’am… I don’t know how to say this but I think you forgot the top to your dress.”
  • “Inappropriate dress.”
  • “Awful dress!!!! So unflattering! Put them away!”

Fortunately, some people defended Amurri, emphasizing kindness and understanding:

  • “I can’t believe how unkind so many of you are in this post! Why is it that you can’t just embrace their happiness and wonderful story rather than try to hurt people? I guess it’s an indication of your sorry lives!”
