Taylor Swift mocked for “granny panties” after dress opens up unexpectedly in front of fans

She’s currently one of the most iconic music stars on the planet, capable of attracting massive crowds wherever she performs, reminiscent of legends like Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

However, even Taylor Swift isn’t immune to the occasional wardrobe malfunction.

The 34-year-old singer performed three sold-out shows in Stockholm last weekend. Reports suggest that between 150,000 and 200,000 fans flocked to the Swedish capital, with some traveling from as far as the United States.

As with everything Swift touches these days, her performances turned into golden moments, garnering rave reviews and further amplifying the excitement surrounding her Eras Tour.

On her third night in Stockholm, though, Swift experienced a minor wardrobe mishap that reminded everyone she’s only human. Just as she was about to sit at the piano, the blue dress she was wearing opened up, revealing the gold bralette and sparkly black shorts she had underneath.

Displaying her trademark professionalism, Swift quickly refastened her dress and proceeded to deliver a heartfelt performance of her song, “How Did It End?” which she had never played live before.

This minor incident might have gone unnoticed, as many artists have faced worse on stage, but the internet being what it is today, the clip of Swift’s dress opening soon appeared on TikTok, sparking commentary.

“Her shorts look like a diaper. So unflattering,” someone commented on Facebook.

“Those look like granny panties…..look good on her,” said another on Instagram.

A third speculated that Swift might be pregnant, writing, “Hmm.. looking kind of round on the lower abdomen. Is she trying to tell us something?”

“It looks intentional,” a fourth person remarked about the dress slip.

Another harshly wrote, “Well she is used to taking her clothes off soo.”

Inexplicably, a sixth added, “She’s a hot mess [and] has been!”

The idea that Swift is a “has been” is certainly off the mark, as are most of the negative remarks. Unfortunately, there’s little to be done about the critical voices online, but Taylor Swift seems well beyond caring about such detractors.
