From 2002 to 2006, Richards was married to actor Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares daughters Sam (20) and Lola (18). She adopted a son, Eloise, in 2011, and has been married to Aaron Phypers since 2018.

Recently, the actress revealed that she still forbids her daughters from watching the film “Wild Things,” in which she has a steamy scene with co-star Neve Campbell, filmed 26 years ago.

“I’ve never allowed them to watch it. They mentioned that movie to me once, and I was shocked that they even knew about it. I’m aware that my daughters are growing up and may see that scene. I told them that I would really appreciate it if they didn’t watch it, at least not now,” the actress disclosed. She added that she doesn’t regret her roles.

“It would be uncomfortable for me to watch my parents in lascivious scenes,” admitted the blonde actress, who has even installed cameras in her home to catch her daughters if they sneak out without her knowledge and do something they’re not allowed to.
