Alan Jackson Announces Final Concert Of His Career — A Historic Farewell To Country Music Fans

A Farewell Tour That Spanned Generations

Country music icon Alan Jackson began his official farewell journey in 2024 with a ten-city run titled Last Call: One More For The Road Tour. This tour extended his successful 2022 run, which had already touched the hearts of fans nationwide.

In a 2022 interview, Jackson reflected on his heroes — George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Charley Pride — noting that they kept performing “as long as they could.” He expressed the same desire, determined to give his all to fans as long as his health allowed.

Health Battles Behind The Scenes

In 2021, Jackson revealed he had been diagnosed with Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease (CMT), a degenerative nerve disorder that affects his balance and mobility.

“It’s been affecting me for years. I know I’m stumbling around on stage. I feel very uncomfortable,” Jackson admitted on the TODAY Show.

His team made thoughtful adjustments throughout the tour — from building a custom stand to providing a barstool — ensuring he could continue performing with dignity and grace despite physical challenges.

One Last Road Show — And Then Nashville

On May 17, 2025, Jackson performed his final tour date in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Before stepping off the stage, he surprised fans with an emotional announcement:

“This is my last road show, but we’re planning a big finale show in Nashville next summer. I just felt like I had to end it all where it all started — in Nashville, Tennessee, Music City. It’s been a sweet ride!”

The Final Chapter: June 27, 2026

On October 7, 2025, Jackson teased a major announcement with a nostalgic locker-room video filled with iconic memorabilia — from his “Chattahoochee” red cowboy boots and water skis to his CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards.

The following day, it became official: Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
