Ashley Park Recalls Sweet Message from Meryl Streep After Wrapping Only Murders in the Building: ‘Makes Me Want to Cry’

Ashley Park is still deeply affected by Meryl Streep’s heartfelt remark.
The 33-year-old actress, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, talked about the last few days of filming season 3 of Only Murders in the Building on the September 3 episode of his podcast Dinner’s on Me. Park eventually handed the book to Streep after handing around a “fake playbill” for the actors to sign.

“You know how at the end of Broadway shows, when you leave a show, you have everyone sign your Playbill?” she explained. That seems like it would be enjoyable. Just give it to me to do. Each person was signing their name as well.

“I handed it over to Meryl, who signed it and returned it to me. “‘I see you, Ash,’ it said,” Park recounted. “It was as if she saw you clearly,” she said. You’re carrying it out.”

The actress from Emily in Paris said on how the experience made her understand “what a difference that can [make] for anybody I interact with, who might be looking up to me in that way.”

“Like still, a year later, and it makes me want to cry,” she continued.
