Chrissy Teigen sparks controversy in dress which shows her surgery scars – ‘maybe if you wore actual clothes…’

Chrissy Teigen is known for being honest and authentic with how she presents herself on social media. The model is often unapologetic about how she comes across and what she posts.

However, some people might not appreciate this about her. Keep reading to learn more.

It is not often, that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend get to go out on date nights. So when they do, the couple seems to savor it. Teigen recently posted about wearing a plunging dress ahead of her date with her husband.

The model and cookbook author posted her story, showing off her outfit. She says in the video, “Date night, very rare but it happens … boobies out, scars out.” Her husband of nearly 11 years appears and is wearing a matching all black look.

Legend says, “We’re going out,” before he softly adds, “Oh yeah, baby,” when Teigen shows off her look.

Teigen is wearing a gorgeous plunging black dress with a gold body chain, her surgery scars are visible in the dress and she is not scared of showing them off, bringing attention to them all on her own.

Chrissy Teigen is showing some skin. She says, “Wear a body chain. It hides it, kind of.” She makes a point of showing the chain next to her scars.

Teigen, who is mother to four children with her husband John Legend, is not shy about speaking about her surgeries. She said earlier this year on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that she has had three breast jobs.

“I’ve had my boobs done three times,” Teigen said as one of her ‘lies’ during the game “The Lies Have It” on the show.

Later in the show, Teigen shared that the statement was not a lie but, in fact, true. She went on to elaborate, “I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out. I don’t like them out.”

This was not the first time she was open about the procedures she has had done on her breasts. In March 2020, in an interview with Glamour UK revealed that she first underwent plastic surgery at the age of 20. The first process was fueled by her desire to have more perkiness in swimsuit photos as she had began modelling at the time.

“I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line. But I want them out now,” Teigen shared. “If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift.

She explained what had happened to her implants during and after her pregnancies, she said, “But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”

“I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every 10 years,” she went on to say. “But when you have kids, you think about [the risks] of surgery and I think, ‘This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery.’”

Teigen eventually decided to get her implants removed. She announced her decision later that year on Instagram, saying her desire stemmed from wanting comfort and clothing in her size.

“I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it,” she wrote in the caption for her post in 2020. “I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat.”

Teigen is not shy about showing off her scar. Earlier this year, she wore a sheer dress to Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s private Oscars after-party and posted images of her wearing the dress to Instagram. In the caption she wrote, “When the flash hits your boob lift scars 🔥🔥🔥,” She also added, “You’re all zooming I can feel it!!!”

A lot of people took issue with her dress and the attention she was drawing to her surgery scars. One person wrote, “Maybe wear a dam bra.” While another Instagram user added, “Maybe if you wore actual clothes you wouldn’t have that problem. 🙄”

Another person commented, “I’m old-fashioned and I think these types of outfits are “distasteful”. Sorry, but that’s what I think.”

But there were also dozens of people who appreciated the images and her honesty about her scars.
