Downey Jr. Channels Inner Iron Man, Vows to Clean Up Earth Within a Decade

Given the current environmental threats facing our planet, it’s not too far-fetched to say that Earth could use a superhero. Luckily, we might just have one. Robert Downey Jr. – and no, we’re not just referring to his Iron Man persona – is taking significant steps to make a positive impact on the Earth’s future. The actor seems to have ambitious plans to contribute to the cleanup of our world before it’s too late.

But here’s the exciting part: in a manner befitting his alter-ego Tony Stark, Downey Jr. intends to leverage a game-changer – artificial intelligence. Brace yourselves, as this piece of news might seem more like science fiction than reality.

Recent reports reveal that Downey Jr. has announced the launch of a new organization called The Footprint Coalition. Starting in 2020, this organization aims to undertake the colossal task of cleaning up the entire planet within a decade, with the assistance of AI. Speaking at the Amazon Re: Mars conference, the actor expressed his belief that artificial intelligence can be a force for good, especially when it comes to benefiting humanity.

“Between robotics and nanotechnology, we could clean up the planet significantly, if not totally, in 10 years,” he was quoted as saying, expressing his admiration for the scientists and researchers who have made his ambitious project feasible. “God, I love experts. They’re like Wikipedia with character defects,” he added.

While specific details are somewhat scarce at the moment, if Downey Jr.’s words hold true, The Footprint Coalition will kick off in 2020. A website has already been established to allow people to track the progress of this ambitious initiative.

So, what do we think people? With Iron Man at the helm, is it possible to clean up our planet within ten years?
