Mark Harmon, 72, looks completely unrecognizeable in shock new look

Recently, Mark Harmon was spotted looking nearly unrecognizable just before Disney announced his return in the highly anticipated “Freaky Friday 2.”

At 72, Harmon is set to reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan for the sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy, which is scheduled for release in 2025.

Disney released a behind-the-scenes photo from the project, featuring Curtis and Lohan, who reprise their roles as mother-daughter duo Tess and Anna Coleman. The picture captures their excitement as they pose hand-in-hand on set during the first day of filming on Monday.

Lohan also shared her joy on Instagram, posting a series of clips from the “Freaky Friday 2” set and highlighting her reunion with Curtis. She captioned her post with: “We’re back!”

Curtis posted the same video montage on her social media, captioning it: “FREAK OUT TIME.”

Meanwhile, Harmon, who will reprise his role as Ryan, Anna’s stepdad, was seen running errands in Los Angeles. His look was notably more casual than during his days on the CBS crime drama “NCIS.”

The U.S. Sun published photos of the shaggy-haired actor on Monday as he visited the trendy Erewhon Market. He was spotted squinting in the bright sunlight while walking down the street in a button-down shirt, shorts, and flip-flops.

Harmon also recently appeared on the red carpet, embracing a more relaxed look since leaving his role as Marine Corps sniper turned special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in October 2021.

In “Freaky Friday 2,” Harmon will join other returning cast members, including Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. The sequel will also introduce new cast members such as Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.

The reunion of the beloved cast has generated excitement among fans of the original film. The return of Curtis and Lohan has been particularly anticipated. Curtis’s enthusiasm was clear in her social media posts, and Lohan’s happiness at being back on set with her on-screen mother was equally evident.

The original “Freaky Friday,” released in 2003, became a cult classic cherished for its humor and heartfelt moments. The sequel aims to recapture that magic, bringing back the characters fans loved and introducing new faces to the mix. Although the storyline details remain under wraps, the involvement of the original cast members suggests that the sequel will stay true to the spirit of the first film while offering fresh twists and turns.

Harmon’s return to the big screen in such a beloved franchise marks a significant moment in his career, especially after his long tenure on “NCIS.” Fans are eager to see how his character, Ryan, has evolved and what new dynamics will unfold between him, Tess, and Anna.
