Poor Boy Takes Care of Grandma’s Garden After Her Death, Finds Dozens of Stashes Buried There – Story of the Day
|A mystery jar was discovered buried in the ground by a destitute grandchild who was tilling his late grandmother’s cherished garden. After discovering numerous others, he followed the clues to an unexpected meeting in the attorney’s office.
What happens if you disregard your deceased elders’ final requests? And what if, “only if” you grant that wish, they had carefully thought out or “buried” a shocking surprise for you?
Charlie and Kevin, brothers from Georgetown, were undecided about this dream. They received their grandmother Josephine’s final letter after she passed away, in which she bequeathed to them her cherished garden. Her primary need was that they take good care of her garden and make sure it yielded a bountiful crop of fruits and vegetables all year round.
Charlie, 16, was delighted to accept the offer, while Kevin, 18, was upset that their grandmother had only left them a tiny garden.
“Just a little garden?” Kevin lost it. “Who wants to work this useless piece of land’s soil? She was going to leave her house to me. That old fool! I detest her.
“What was that noise?” he exclaimed after hearing a crackling sound of glass. He shoveled again and realized it was coming from the soil.
Charlie, saddened by his brother’s rage, remarked, “But Kevin, grandma loved this garden, and maybe she wants us to cherish her last wish.”
Finally, my foot. Why didn’t she bury it with her when she died? I refuse to sully my hands and legs in this muck. Foolishly grant your elderly grandmother’s wish, you loser.

The enraged brother turned to go and threw the letter from his late grandmother Josephine in Charlie’s direction. Additionally, avoid approaching me to beg for money. Selling those bad potatoes and tomatoes will bring you a fortune! Kevin hurried out of the garden after making fun of him.
Even though Charlie was sad, he chose to carry out his late grandmother’s wishes. With great pleasure, he accepted her offer and said he would come the following day with gardening tools to get things going.
Charlie pulled up his sleeves and started watering the garden first thing the next morning. “Granny took such good care of it,” he said. “I’ll begin transplanting the bushes after just a little pruning.”
Josephine had specifically requested in her letter that her grandsons move the rose bushes to different locations.Charlie felt that his job would be made easier because the earth was damp. Using all the strength he could manage, he spaded the ground surrounding the first rose bush.
He heard glass crackling and yelled, “What was that noise?” When he shoveled again, he discovered the source was the ground.
Charlie picked up his little pocket shovel and started to dig. A broken glass jar with a letter was discovered a few moments later, and he slumped back in shock. “A message? He said, “Is it from grandma?” and gingerly removed the letter.
“I appreciate the boys not forgetting me. I wouldn’t be so callous as to give you nothing but cucumbers and tomatoes!” Go over the opening line. There are precisely 24 more “treasures” to unearth, so keep exploring around the rose bushes! All I wanted to make sure of was that you remembered me!
“Are there 23 more glass jars hidden in the yard? How could that be? Charlie let out a cheer and started to search the area for other rosebushes. In the garden, he discovered 23 rose plants in 23 separate locations.
Charlie, breathless and exhausted, dug up 22 jars, all of which were filled with money and coins. Even though he was exhausted and the heat was unbearable, he was committed to finding the last jar and digging the last rose bush. There was no jar there, much to his dismay.
“Is the last one still here?” Stumbling, he glanced around to make sure he hadn’t missed anything.

The garden was disorganized. Charlie was worn out from the long day of transplanting all the bushes in their new locations in addition to not having found the twenty-fourth jar.
He told his grandmother that he would plant them the following day as he stared up at the sky. “Grandma, I promise, but first I have to find the last jar.” It isn’t present. He walked around the garden in search of answers, asking, “Where is it?”
At that moment, he recalled his grandmother’s favorite plant, a rosemary shrub situated near her bedroom window at the farthest end of the garden. Granny Josephine had always wanted the herb to be next to her bedroom window so she could appreciate its wonderful scent its aroma.
“That has to be it!” Charlie gave a happy shout. He moved to where the rosemary shrub was and dug a hole. The sound of glass clinking validated his instincts.
Charlie was a little surprised after carefully extracting the jar. It was hidden with a scroll, but it contained no money.

The grandson was curious and opened the jar, to his astonishment, finding a document. It stated that the owner of this document needed to get in touch with the enclosed number in order to get more information.
Charlie came saw a phone number that had the name “Alex Johnson” listed underneath it. After he contacted them, he was summoned the following day to the attorney’s office.
“Oh, you must be Mrs. Josephine Parker’s grandson,” Alex remarked, presenting the boy with a document. When she informed me that her grandkids would stop at nothing to fulfill her dream, I wasn’t convinced. However, I’m shocked that just one person arrived.
It turned out to be the second portion of the late grandmother’s will. As stated by it, the house and a family treasure would go to the grandson who had the first portion of the document.
“A legacy from the family?” a startled Charlie inquired. “She never discussed it with me.”
With a smile, the attorney handed him a jewelry box. When Charlie opened it and saw a ring set with stones and some pricey jewelry along with a note, he was taken aback.
It was mine, my mother’s, and my grandmother’s. It is now yours to own. I hope you save it as a memento of me. adoration

Charlie cried happy tears. He was grateful to his grandmother for everything she had left him, even if he would have to wait another two years to turn eighteen to claim the inheritance.
Charlie became the lawful heir to his late grandmother’s home and inheritance two years later, on his eighteenth birthday. After graduating from college, he used the $22,000 he inherited to renovate the house and moved in.
Kevin, his elder brother, made every effort over these two years to seize the family legacy and exclude his younger brother. However, his evil deeds proved in vain, and all he received was disappointment at not fulfilling his late grandmother’s wish.
Charlie kept up his diligent labor in Granny Jospehine’s garden in the meantime. He planted exotic flowers and fruits on a second plot of property he purchased close by. In the end, he began shipping fresh vegetables from his garden to neighboring states and developed into an ambitious businessman.
Charlie, who had been underprivileged as a child, now had a luxurious home in town as well as several acres of farmland. The modest grandson never wavered in honoring his late grandmother’s desire, even with his newfound wealth. He also made sure her garden was always full of gorgeous flowers, delectable fruits, and nutritious veggies all year long!
