Just two days after their son Jack Osbourne told Good Morning America that his mother was “not okay,” Sharon, who turned 73 on Thursday, stepped out in London, bravely trying to continue with everyday life following the devastating loss of her husband of 43 years.

A Frail But Brave Appearance

Sharon was seen leaving the Miu Miu store on Bond Street, dressed in black jeans and a long black jacket, clutching her phone close to her chest. Despite her fragile appearance, she managed a small smile and even took a moment to chat with staff inside.

Security carried several shopping bags back to the car as Sharon engaged in a bit of retail therapy on the eve of her birthday — her first without Ozzy.

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, died on July 22 at his home in Buckinghamshire after suffering heart failure, just two weeks after performing his emotional farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.

Sharon Thanks Fans For Their Love And Support

Following Ozzy’s death, Sharon shared a message on social media thanking fans for their “overwhelming love and support.” She admitted that she was being “carried through” by those around her and was still “finding her footing” without the man she often described as the love of her life.

Jack also offered an update on his mother’s emotional state, saying:

“She’s okay, but she’s not okay. I know she feels the love.”

Ozzy’s Final Years: A Family’s Painful Journey

A new BBC One documentary, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, will chronicle the rock legend’s return to the UK after more than 30 years in the U.S., including behind-the-scenes footage of his final farewell concert and intimate interviews with Sharon, Jack, and Kelly.

The film will show Sharon’s struggle to care for Ozzy through his declining health, including multiple surgeries, hospitalizations, and complications such as pneumonia and sepsis.

Kelly Osbourne described watching her mother care for Ozzy as “the most heartbreaking part of this whole thing,” while Sharon herself was filmed breaking down, saying:

“You feel like you put a clown’s face on and say everything is gonna be great. And it’s not.”

Ozzy died of a heart attack and had coronary artery disease in addition to suffering from Parkinson’s disease for years, his death certificate, published in August, confirmed (pictured with Sharon in 2017)

According to his death certificate, Ozzy died of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest caused by acute myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease, compounded by Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction.

Ozzy had battled Parkinson’s for years, announcing his diagnosis in 2020 after a serious fall worsened his condition. Despite health struggles, he continued to perform, giving fans one last powerful concert — a moment Jack described as “a living wake.”
