The actor revealed what he did on his day off, and his excitement about it is palpable!
One would think that a megastar like Tom Cruise does not get starstruck. He revealed recently that on his rare day off, he decided to go to a Janet Jackson concert. He could not contain his excitement about seeing the singer perform live.
He went to her concert last month. The movie star shared, “That was a moment, yeah, that was my night off. That was my last break,” Cruise said while laughing. He added, “I just want to tell you to go see Janet.”
And in case you wondered what Tom Cruise is like at concerts, he shared that he goes ‘right in’ and enjoys like any other fan. Cruise shared, “I’m right in there, yeah, come on! It’s Janet, she’s a legend.”
Last month, Janet herself shared when Cruise showed up to her concert. She posted a picture of the two of them backstage at her “Together Again” tour in Charlotte, North Carolina. She captioned the image, “T, it was so good seeing you and nice spending some time together.”
When asked about the nickname, Cruise gushed how Janet Jackson could call him anything she wanted. He said, “Yeah she calls me T. Look, she can call me whatever she wants. She’s Janet Jackson! She’s a goddess. She is a goddess.”
Cruise is currently promoting the seventh installment of the Mission Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The actor makes sure he never takes his career and success for granted.
“It’s unbelievable,” Cruise said about his career and success. “I do pinch myself every day. I don’t take anything for granted.”
“I remember being 18 years old, making Taps, and I remember being four years old and thinking I want to make movies, and I want to travel the world, and now here we are in Rome,” Cruise added. “It’s something that I am constantly [feeling like], ‘This is so out of body’ and ‘What is happening? This is wild.’ … I just feel very privileged,” he finished.
