Kelly Clarkson Officially Ends The Kelly Clarkson Show After Seven Seasons, Shares the Personal Reason Behind Her Decision
After seven successful seasons, Kelly Clarkson has officially announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show will come to an end. The Emmy-winning daytime series, which first premiered in 2019, will conclude following the completion of its current seventh season.
Clarkson confirmed the news in a heartfelt statement shared on February 2, thanking her crew, guests, network partners, and fans for their unwavering support throughout the show’s run.

A Gratitude-Filled Farewell
In her message, Clarkson expressed deep appreciation for the team that helped shape the talk show across its Los Angeles and New York productions.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she wrote. “There have been so many amazing moments over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful to the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the inspiring people who shared their lives with us, and the fans who supported our show.”
She also extended her thanks to NBC, calling the network a consistently supportive partner since the show’s launch.
Why Kelly Clarkson Is Stepping Away
Clarkson explained that the decision to end the show was deeply personal and not made lightly. After years of balancing a demanding daily production schedule with her family life, the singer and host said it was time to reprioritize.
“This was not an easy decision,” she shared. “But stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
While the show may be ending, Clarkson made it clear that this is not a farewell to her career or her audience.
What’s Next for Kelly Clarkson
Clarkson reassured fans that she will remain active in entertainment, continuing to make music and perform live shows when possible. She also hinted at occasional television appearances, including potential returns to The Voice, where she has previously served as a coach.
“This isn’t goodbye,” Clarkson said. “I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me popping up from time to time.”
Season 7 Will Air Through Fall 2026
Production on Season 7 will continue as planned, with Clarkson remaining as host through the show’s conclusion. A small number of special guest hosts are also expected to appear, though no names have been announced. New episodes will continue airing through Fall 2026.
The announcement confirms earlier reports suggesting the show would conclude after its seventh season, despite prior denials that the series was nearing its end.
A Daytime Staple Leaves Its Mark
Over the years, The Kelly Clarkson Show became a staple of daytime television, known for its warm tone, candid conversations, and memorable moments. The fan-favorite “Kellyoke” segment, featuring Clarkson’s powerful vocal covers of popular songs, evolved into one of the show’s defining elements.
NBCUniversal executives praised the show’s impact, crediting it with delivering consistent, high-quality entertainment and connecting with daytime audiences across the country.
Closing a Successful Chapter
As The Kelly Clarkson Show prepares to sign off, it leaves behind a legacy of music, laughter, and heartfelt storytelling. For Clarkson, the decision marks a meaningful transition—one centered on family, balance, and new creative possibilities.
After seven remarkable seasons, Kelly Clarkson is closing one chapter while leaving the door open for many more still to come.
