Angelina Jolie’s leaked email to Brad Pitt’s shows the reality of their marriage and divorce

Once hailed as Hollywood’s golden couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce announcement left fans heartbroken. Now, their split has spiraled into a bitter legal feud.

Here’s a glimpse into the contentious legal battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over Miraval, their sprawling estate in southern France, renowned for its wines. Purchased in 2008, just before the birth of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, Miraval also served as the picturesque setting for their 2014 wedding.

Described as a “love letter” from Pitt to his family, Miraval symbolized a haven from the pressures of fame. However, as their relationship soured, so did their dispute over the estate. Initially envisioned as a joint venture, the couple rejected a clause that would facilitate property division in case of separation, believing it unnecessary.

Fast forward to January 2021, when Jolie expressed her intent to sell Miraval to Pitt via email, citing irreparable emotional associations with the property, particularly linked to a distressing plane incident involving Pitt’s alleged intoxicated behavior.

Despite Pitt’s agreement to buy out Jolie’s stake for $54.5 million in February 2021, the transaction faced hurdles due to ongoing divorce proceedings. Pitt insisted on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent Jolie from discussing his personal conduct outside court, framing it as essential to protect the asset’s value.

However, in October 2021, Jolie sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a company owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, for $67 million. Pitt interpreted this move as retaliation for his legal victory securing joint custody of their children, a ruling later nullified due to judicial concerns over bias.

Subsequently, Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie and the new owners, alleging Jolie’s lack of contribution to Miraval’s success and seeking to annul the sale of Jolie’s shares. In response, Stoli, the holding company, counter-sued Pitt for devaluing their investments and interfering with their management of Miraval.

As the legal saga unfolds, emotions run high, with sources close to Pitt emphasizing his commitment to his family despite the turbulence. Amidst allegations and counterclaims, the once-envied couple’s story serves as a cautionary tale about the complexities of fame, love, and the legal system.
