|His children were shocked by Tito Jackson’s passing. Here’s a look at his dying days and the devastating remarks he made just before passing away.
The loss of Tito Jackson stunned his kids. Here are some glimpses into his final days and the heartbreaking statements he made before he passed away.
On September 9, 2024, in Munich, Germany, Tito was photographed six days before he passed away, just before his brothers Jackie and Marlon Jackson performed as part of The Jacksons.
He intended to sing all the way to the finish before he passed away. The performer even had plans to reissue his hit song “Love One Another” with his sons’ band, 3T, in the beginning of 2025.
In the meantime, Tito was seen in another picture at a news conference in front of the Michael Jackson memorial at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, together with Jackie, Marlon, and his son Taryll Jackson.
Tito shared on Instagram what the memorial meant to the Jackson family after their visit. “We are incredibly appreciative of this unique location that celebrates both our common heritage and his memories. I am grateful that you are preserving his memory,” he wrote.
In an August 2024 interview, Tito discussed how Michael, his younger brother, was treated unfairly by the public, calling his passing a great tragedy and the loss of much more than just a gifted artist.
He revealed that the family frequently gets together to remember Michael and occasionally puts on a performance in his honor, sharing that they sense his presence on stage, particularly around the anniversary of his death. In addition, Tito visited Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson, Michael’s children, whenever he was in Los Angeles, and they remained close.
The famous Hollywood person lived in Oklahoma. According to friends, Tito left the fast-paced city life behind and relocated to a tiny hamlet of roughly 20,000 residents.
He swiftly accepted country living, according to his friend and business partner Howard Pollack, and he had ambitions to bring a music festival and other entertainment events to the area. Tito wished to infuse his neighbors with fresh vitality and his love of music.
Sadly, Tito passed away before achieving his objective. At the age of 70, he passed away on September 15, 2024, according to an Entertainment Tonight announcement on X.
Taryll, TJ, and Taj Jackson, Tito’s older sons, also shared the news on Instagram. “We regret to inform you that our father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us,” they wrote. We are grieved, startled, and devastated.”
Steve Manning, the former Jackson family manager and longtime friend of the Jackson family, had a suspicion that Tito had a heart attack while traveling from New Mexico to Oklahoma.
Around September 15, 2024, around 6:17 p.m., a bystander at the American Heritage Plaza shopping center called Gallup Police in New Mexico to report that someone was in need of medical assistance. After being recognized by the police as Tito, the person was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Gallup.
In an interview, Tito’s greatest friend and business partner, Terry Harvey Maltbia, described his last moments. Terry said that they had driven back to Tito’s ranch in Oklahoma, stopping for dinner in Gallup, New Mexico, with their friend Ronald Balfour.
The three of them had traveled from Oklahoma to California in order to get Tito’s classic vehicles back. Terry reported that they were “laughing and talking” after dinner near the American Heritage Plaza shopping area. “We were putting the top on the convertible because it started raining,” Terry continued.
Terry recalled how he flagged down passing law enforcement, and Tito was flown to a nearby hospital. He requested his companions to locate his insurance card in his suitcase as they rolled him into the emergency hospital. Regretfully, things became worse quite quickly for him.
“I figured everything was going to be OK since we got him to the hospital and he was still talking,” Terry said with a chuckle. “A woman emerged again and expressed, ‘He’s not doing well.'” To which I replied, “What do you mean?” Is his condition worsened by his inability to stand? By what do you mean? I was merely conversing with him!”
Terry recounted the situation with a sigh. “After they returned me there, I turned to face him. It got pretty terrible and he had roughly seven physicians operating on him. He revealed, “I called his brother, Marlon, and that’s when he died.”
Regarding Tito’s last words, Terry disclosed that he claimed he “wasn’t feeling good” and “couldn’t breathe” right before he was taken to the hospital, where he eventually passed away from a heart attack.
Terry remembered, “It hurts to breathe. Could you assist Ronnie in completing the [vehicle] top? Terry continued. “It’s not feeling good in my chest,” he stated. It appeared as though someone had thrown a bucket of water on him as he cleaned his face and removed his shirt.”
Internet people responded to Tito’s final, devastating remarks. It’s tragic that a coronary calcium scan could have prevented his death. People, especially those over 60, should check their arteries “one person said.
I’m very sorry to hear this. Another said, “May he rest in peace and continue to dance and laugh with Michael.” Another person remarked, “It’s quite tragic. That breaks my heart to hear.
The tragic death of Tito has left his family, friends, and fans with a great emptiness in their hearts. Love, laughter, and his lifelong passion for music characterized his last moments.
Even though he is no longer with us, the memories he left behind and the music he shared with the world will carry on his legacy as a well-liked musician and loving family guy.
