Tragic Case in Washington: Three Sisters Found Dead After Visitation with Father – Manhunt Underway

Wenatchee, WA – June 5, 2025
Three young girls from Washington—Paityn Decker (9), Evelyn Decker (8), and Olivia Decker (5)—were found dead on June 2 near Rock Island Campground in Chelan County. The girls had been reported missing after a scheduled visitation with their father, Travis Decker.

They were last seen on May 30. Although the visit was part of a legal custody agreement, Decker failed to return them as agreed, prompting a missing persons alert.

Preliminary Cause of Death: Suspected Asphyxiation

According to documents filed with Chelan County Superior Court and reported by Fox 13 Seattle, the suspected cause of death is asphyxiation. The final ruling from the county coroner is still pending.

Father Missing – Facing Multiple Charges

Travis Decker (32) is currently the subject of a statewide manhunt. Authorities have issued the following charges against him:

  • Three counts of first-degree murder

  • One count of kidnapping

  • One count of custodial interference

His white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck was located near the scene, but Decker himself has not been found. Authorities say Decker is a former member of the military and may be dangerous.

“We do not know if he is armed, but he may pose a significant risk to public safety,” stated the Wenatchee Police Department.

Evidence Suggests Premeditation

Investigators discovered the following items near the scene:

  • Two bloody handprints on the vehicle

  • Child car seats, blankets, and food supplies inside the truck

  • A wallet placed on the center console

  • A tent and cooler at the campsite

  • Cell phone data placing Decker at the campground a day before the disappearance

These findings suggest the possibility of premeditation.

Timeline of Events

  • May 30: Girls reported missing after scheduled visitation

  • May 31: Washington State Patrol issues endangered missing persons alert

  • June 2: Alert canceled after bodies are found

At the time, Decker was believed to be homeless, staying in motels and campgrounds across the region.

Community Support and Mourning

A GoFundMe campaign launched to support the girls’ mother, Whitney Decker, has raised over $347,000 of its $380,000 goal.

Organizer Amy Edwards, a close friend of the family, shared:

“We are heartbroken to share that the girls have passed. The pain of this loss is unimaginable. I’ve known Whitney for years—we’re both dance moms and theater friends—and I had the privilege of teaching her daughters. These funds will help cover funeral costs and give Whitney space to grieve without financial burden.”

In Loving Memory

Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia are remembered for their bright smiles, joyful spirits, and kindness. Their loss has deeply impacted their school community and all who knew them.
