Jennifer Lopez Reportedly Open to Dating Again — Looking for a ‘Yellowstone Cowboy Type’ After Split from Ben Affleck
|Jennifer Lopez is reportedly open to finding love again nearly a year after her separation from Ben Affleck.
According to her divorce documents, the Atlas star and Affleck parted ways in April. She officially filed for divorce in August, and the split was finalized in early 2025.

Now, after months of leaning on family and friends for support, the 55-year-old icon is said to be ready to open her heart once more.
“Jennifer is definitely looking for love again,” a source told DailyMail.com.
Though rumors briefly linked her to Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner after they were seen shopping at Kemo Sabe in Aspen during the holidays, Lopez reportedly has a different type in mind.
“She’s always had a soft spot for Rip Wheeler from Yellowstone. That rugged protector type — someone strong, loyal, and capable of holding it all together. She wants to feel cherished and prioritized,” the insider explained.

“She’s got a big life, and she needs someone who can handle all that with patience and unconditional love — like Rip loves Beth Dutton.”
Interestingly, Ben Affleck is friends with Cole Hauser, the actor who plays Rip. The two previously co-starred in Good Will Hunting. This week, Cole was mourning the loss of his father, Wings Hauser, who passed away at 77.
Meanwhile, Lopez is focused on her flourishing career.
“She wants summer 2025 to feel like a fresh start,” the source said.

She’s currently filming Office Romance in New Jersey, alongside Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein. Then in June, she’s set to headline the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, D.C., on the 6th.
And of course, she plans to ring in her 56th birthday on July 24 with a big celebration alongside her twins, Max and Emme.
While her professional year in 2024 was a triumph — thanks to the success of Atlas — her personal life made headlines, with much of the public scrutiny focusing on her history of failed relationships. Past husbands include Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and most recently Ben Affleck. She was also engaged to baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
Insiders say Lopez is determined to turn the narrative around in 2025.

Also on her slate is Kiss of the Spider Woman — a musical adaptation she stars in and co-produced alongside Affleck. The film is based on the 1993 Broadway production and 1976 novel of the same name, and premiered to strong acclaim at Sundance earlier this year.
In the film, Lopez plays Aurora — a fantasy character imagined by Molina, a gay hairdresser imprisoned in Argentina during the early 1980s. The story explores themes of escapism, identity, and resistance.

Beyond the screen, Lopez is also growing her business empire. From her Delola beverage line to JLo Beauty, she continues to evolve as a brand powerhouse. “She has something new launching soon for JLo Beauty and is genuinely excited about it,” the source added.
As she looks ahead, J.Lo is focused on what she loves most — her children, her work, and finding a love that feels like home.
