Rising country artist John Foster is heading back to the stage—and this time, it’s on his own terms. The American Idol Season 23 runner-up has officially announced his first post-Idol performance, and it’s set to be a powerful hometown moment.

Foster, a native of Addis, Louisiana, will perform live at the Cajun Country Jam festival in Denham Springs, which runs from May 23 to May 25, 2025, at Pards North Park. The 18-year-old singer captured hearts across America throughout the Idol season, ultimately landing in the Top 2 alongside winner Jamal Roberts. The finale aired on May 18, with the final moment showing Foster and Roberts side-by-side as Ryan Seacrest revealed the winner.
