Alyvia Alyn Lind: The Young Star Who Played Dolly Parton In Coat of Many Colors

When NBC premiered Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors in December 2015, millions of viewers were introduced to a young actress named Alyvia Alyn Lind. She portrayed the legendary Dolly Parton as a child, capturing hearts with her emotional and sincere performance. The film was inspired by Parton’s autobiographical song of the same name.

Due to the movie’s popularity, NBC released a sequel in 2016 titled Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. Once again, Alyvia starred as young Dolly, while Jennifer Nettles played her mother Avie Lee and Ricky Schroder portrayed her father Robert Lee.

Dolly Parton Praised Alyvia’s Performance

Before taking on the role of Dolly, Alyvia was already known for playing Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless from 2011 to 2021. She also appeared in Transparent, Revenge, and See Dad Run.
