Sister Freida’s Prayer Post Sparked Rumors
On October 7, Freida wrote:
“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately… I ask all the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”
Coming from someone so close, the post intensified speculation, with fans wondering whether Dolly’s condition was more serious than publicly shared.
Dolly’s Team Clarifies: “It’s Just Kidney Stones”
To address growing rumors, Dolly’s manager Olly Rowland confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal:
“It’s just the kidney stones, and the procedure she needs to resolve those. It got quite a bit blown out of proportion.”
Dolly Shares A Personal Video Message
Shortly after, Dolly posted a video message on social media to clear the air. Filming from the set of a Grand Ole Opry commercial, she greeted fans with her signature humor:
“Well, today’s October the 8th, and obviously I’m here. … Do I look sick to you?”
She continued:
“I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease. I appreciate your prayers — I’m a person of faith — but I want you to know that I’m okay!”
Dolly also revealed that after her husband Carl Dean’s passing in March, she hadn’t taken care of herself as she should have, which led to some health issues. However, she stressed it was “nothing major.”
She explained that she needed to stay near home and doctors for “a few treatments here and there,” but reassured fans with a laugh:
“I’m not dying! There’s just a lot of rumors flying around. But if you heard it from me, you know I’m okay. I ain’t done yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working!”
A Message Of Faith And Resilience
While she didn’t go into detail about her treatments, Dolly’s candid and uplifting message calmed fans around the world. Her resilience and faith remain unwavering — and her fans couldn’t be more relieved.
