The TT Boys Stun America’s Got Talent Judges with Daring Acrobatics — Even Simon Couldn’t Stay Silent

America’s Got Talent Season 20 continues to raise the bar, and during the second night of auditions, one act left the judges speechless — and even praying. Enter The TT Boys: Tamrat Ayalew and Tomas Alemu, a powerhouse acrobatic duo specializing in the breathtaking tradition of the Icarian Games.

With origins in Ethiopia and a lifelong partnership that began when they were just 3 years old, the TT Boys now perform with world-renowned companies like Cirque du Soleil. But on the AGT stage, they brought their act to a whole new audience — and stunned everyone watching.

What Are the Icarian Games?

In this visually intense form of acrobatics, one performer lies on his back with legs extended upward while the other is launched into the air using only the performer’s feet. The TT Boys turned this into a jaw-dropping routine filled with flips, spins, and hair-raising near-falls — all delivered with expert timing and trust.

At one point, Judge Sofía Vergara was so overwhelmed, she made the sign of the cross.
Judge Simon Cowell couldn’t hold back either, exclaiming, “f–king awesome.”

Moving Beyond the Main Stage

After an already incredible act on the main stage, the TT Boys surprised everyone by shifting to a smaller platform right in front of the judges to execute their final stunts. It was a bold move — and it paid off.

All four judges unanimously sent them through to the next round, with applause pouring in from the live audience.

Terry Crews: The AGT Support System

Host Terry Crews, known for his high energy and deep empathy, offered behind-the-scenes encouragement to the performers.

“This is what you’ve been preparing for your whole life — this is the moment,” Crews told TODAY in a May 2025 interview.
“When things don’t happen the way they want them to, I’m their counselor. I’ve been rejected before, too. We all have.”
