ICE Bodycam Video Reveals Tense Moments Before Fatal Minneapolis Shooting
A newly released video recorded from an ICE agent’s perspective has shed new light on the tense seconds leading up to a deadly shooting in south Minneapolis, where a woman was fatally wounded during a federal enforcement operation.
The footage, first shared on X by Alpha News, captures part of a confrontation between Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and a civilian vehicle on a quiet residential street. According to reports, agents were conducting enforcement activity in the area when they approached a dark-colored SUV parked along the curb.

What begins as a calm exchange quickly escalates.
In the short clip, a woman later identified as Renee Good is seated in the SUV as an ICE agent circles the vehicle, phone in hand, recording the encounter. Good can be heard speaking in a measured tone:
“That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you.”
Nearby, her wife, Becca, films the interaction and attempts to defuse the situation with lighthearted remarks about license plates. The scene appears controlled—until an agent issues a command.
“Get out of the car.”
Moments later, the video shows the SUV briefly reversing and then beginning to move forward. Almost instantly, gunshots ring out. The clip ends shortly after, with a derogatory slur audible in the background.
Multiple videos circulating online capture moments before and after the shooting. In some footage, the SUV can be seen moving several blocks from the scene before coming to a stop. Authorities later confirmed that Good was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
ICE officials stated that the agent involved believed his life was in danger, asserting that the vehicle was used as a threat. Federal authorities said the agent discharged his firearm in self-defense during what they described as a rapidly evolving and dangerous situation.

However, eyewitness accounts offer a more complicated picture. One witness told KARE 11 that the woman did not appear aggressive and that the encounter escalated within seconds. Another described the scene as “confusing” and “out of control,” questioning why deadly force was used so quickly.
The incident immediately sparked anger within the community. Residents raised concerns about ICE’s presence and tactics in Minneapolis, leading to protests and gatherings demanding transparency and accountability from federal authorities.
Tensions deepened when it emerged that federal agencies were limiting state involvement in the investigation. According to AP News, Minnesota officials requested access to evidence and participation in the case, but federal authorities asserted jurisdiction. State and local leaders criticized the move, arguing that an independent review is necessary to maintain public trust.
Federal officials later confirmed that the ICE agent involved has been placed on administrative leave, a standard procedure following officer-involved shootings. The case has drawn national attention, with major outlets noting that the investigation could take months due to jurisdictional complexities and the seriousness of the incident.
As more footage and testimony emerge, the video has become central to a growing debate over federal enforcement practices and the use of force—one that continues to resonate far beyond Minneapolis.
